Glendale Municipal Airport

Dibble CM Inspector, Marcos Castanedo, provided construction administration and observation services for the reconstruction on the Glendale Municipal Airport North Apron located within Glendale, Arizona. The Airport is operated by the City of Glendale, covering an area of approximately 477 acres. The North Apron and hangar taxi lanes have experienced a gradual deterioration due to aircraft and vehicular traffic as well as the changing weather conditions of the Arizona valley. Some of these areas were in need of rehabilitation, and some required complete reconstruction. The purpose of this project was to provide suitable asphaltic concrete pavement for aircraft to traverse and park safely within the apron and hangar taxi lanes. Construction Management services included: contract management and document control, daily inspection reports, pay quantity measurement, critical path schedule control, as-built drawing accuracy review, Quality Assurance material testing and results review, work deficiency reporting and resolution, punch-list generation and final walk-through to commissioning.
