Dibble CM Recognizes National Work Zone Awareness Week

National Work Zone Awareness Week – held April 15-19, 2024 – holds special significance for Dibble CM.

“Work zones are temporary. Actions behind the wheel can last forever.” This theme resonates deeply with us as we reflect on the importance of safety in construction zones.

In 2022, we tragically lost 94 highway workers at road construction sites, according to BLS data. To us, these were more than just statistics; they were someone’s colleagues, friends, and members of the construction community.

It’s crucial to recognize that the majority of lives lost in work zone crashes are motorists and their passengers. In 2022, 742 drivers and their passengers perished in work zones, highlighting the urgent need for increased awareness and caution on the roads.

As we honor the memory of those we’ve lost, let’s also commit to making every effort to ensure the safety of everyone on our roads. Slow down, stay focused, and approach work zones with care.

Together, we can build a safer future for all.
