Korean War-Era Plane Relocated to Veterans Oasis Park

In 2021, the City of Chandler moved a landmark Korean War-era plane from its longtime home at Chandler Boulevard and Delaware Street to its new home at Veterans Oasis Park. The plane is an F-86d Sabre Dog and is now part of the Field of Honor memorial at Veterans Oasis Park. The F-86 Sabre Dog reached speeds of 715 mph and was in service from 1951 to 1961. It is a Chandler icon that honors the history of Arizona’s Williams Air Force Base, which was located east of Chandler and operated from 1941 to 1993. Dibble CM is proud to have been part of this iconic City of Chandler project!
